Bridging the Gap In Mortgage Banking
The Credit Department came about to bridge an existing gap in mortgage banking. According to recent studies, approximately 70% of loan applicants do not qualify at time of application. For the majority, it is due to poor credit. Many of our staff come from a background in lending. Seeing the need for education for these potential buyers, the idea of The Credit Department was born.
We are passionate in our desire to help borrowers understand how credit works, and how finances should be handled. Our goal is to offer real life solutions to everyday struggles that many have. We do not want to be a “quick fix” to simply help customers get into a loan, but rather, to offer practical solutions through education, and assist potential borrowers change existing patterns of behavior. To learn how to become good credit users, good financial stewards; to succeed for years to come. We do not pretend to be financial or credit counselors. We are a group of people desiring to put our experiences to work to help others.

A borrower referred to us will be given the tools necessary to make a change. These tools have a long history of successfully getting poor credit users back on track. We will encourage them to use these tools, to change direction and become good credit users once more. We will also encourage them to return to you, as their referring loan officer, the one who cared enough to help them achieve their goals.
